Laura is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing at the Department of Global Business and Enterprise, Ulster University Business School and Programme Director for the BSc Hons Business Studies with Options programme. She is also Chair of the Ulster University Business School Employability Committee. Her research interests focus on the influence of technology on marketing decisions, specifically mobile and Internet, and the factors influencing the diffusion of innovation from an organisational perspective. In particular, she is actively engaged in research exploring millennials and their generational nuances primarily within the context of Higher Education and the graduate labour market and she is working with partners throughout Europe exploring various issues impacting this generational cohort. She engages regularly with small, local and large, international organisations through her employability activities and consultancy and research. She has had publications in, for example, the Journal of Marketing Management, International Journal of Bank Marketing and Marketing, Intelligence and Planning and presented at a number of conferences throughout the UK.
